Have you missed me?

Ive been pretty inactive recently and my exam session is to be blamed for that

Basically, Im half-dead right now, having slept for less than 5 hours, four days in a row >_< I should be sleeping right now instead of writing this journal, but Im too happy that my holidays finally started to simply go to sleep xD
Oh, wait. Before I forget - my
birthday is exactly one month from today [25th July]

Some of you asked me to mention it in the journal in advance

And did I ever mention how I love getting presents? xD
Another thing the
200k kiriban. This time the kiriban catcher wont get a request
but a 3-month subscription

Why? Because Im lazy like that and prefer to spend money on subscription rather than time on request vectors xD If the catcher already has a subscription, he/she can pick someone else to subscribe instead ^.^ Remember to provide me a screenshot of the kiriban. And better be fast only the first person to note me will count.
Back to the topic - seriously, Ive never studied so much in whole my life T_T Now I know why Japanology is considered one of the most difficult of all language studies xD
For those always asking for details: I had 5 major exams:
- Linguistics
- Culture of Japan
- East Asia Civilisations [which basically means the history of Japan and China]
- Practical Japanese
- Latin
and three smaller ones [but not easier >_<]:
- Logics
- Japanese Descriptive Grammar
- Kanji
Before even my exam session officially started, I failed Latin and Logics

Well, I hate both and didnt study at all so that was to be expected

Eventually I passed them with two Cs [and I dont need anything better, Im happy I wont have to transform sentences from accusativus cum infinitivo to nominativus cum infinitivo back and forth
and perform similar meaningless grammar exercises in that stupid, long-dead language]. And dont even talk to me about Logics, its the most unnecessary college course next to Latin and Philosophy xD
I also had to re-take Kanji test
[and Mullish, dont you even dare to comment see, I told you
or anything similar

] The passing mark was 75%, I had 73% or something like that -_- Its not that I didnt know how to write those test kanji its Matsuzaki-sensei who didnt like how I wrote them xD Shes very strict when it comes to bad writing and Im having it harder than most because Im left-handed ==
Anyways, in the end I passed that test with 86%. Again, it would be well over 90% if only sensei wasnt that mean xD I wont forgive her for red-marking some of my favourite kanji, which I practiced with great pleasure
T_T Like the kan from kanjiru [this one: 感]. Dont ask me why I like it that much, I dont know it myself xD
Descriptive Grammar was a test without a grade, just like Kanji and luckily I passed it without any problems ;]
Last Wednesday I took Linguistic exam, Ill know the result tomorrow. Apparently the teacher is really strict when it comes to marking our exam papers >_< One month earlier, we were given a list of 89 questions, out of which 8 would appear on the actual exam. Some of those questions were dreadful
Like, who will describe me the American linguistic structural school, give me at least four foundings of transformational-generative grammar or definition of substitution and segmentation in linguistics? Ill be happy if I pass this one with C xD Apparently many people already failed this exam.
Japanese is whole another story. I took this exam last Saturday
or wait, was it really one exam? No, it wasnt. Actually, we had two exams one after another, because each of our teachers prepared her own exam -_-
First was Uryuu-sensei and her exam consisting of 11 A4-sized sheets of paper [time: 1,5 hour]. Im sure I got all particles tasks completely wrong ;_; Then there was Tatoeba-sensei [called like that because she has to give examples to everything xD tatoeba = for example] with another exam, this time only 6 pages long [time: 1 hour]. I was already so tired at that time that I messed the second one up even more than the first xD Passing mark is also 75% but I have no idea how sensei will mark two exams with one grade

Well, again, Ill find out tomorrow.
Yesterday I had East Asia Civilisations exam, which was the only oral exam this year. We knew all the 21 exam topics in advance and had to pick one at random from the envelope right after entering the exam room. I was so nervous that I actually waited for two hours after arriving to the place before gathering my courage and walking into that room xD I knew nothing about China, Ryukyu and Ainu even though I studied really hard

But luckily, I didnt got any of those questions ^^
In fact, I got one of my favourites the opening of Japan [from encountering first European ships to Meiji restoration]. I was confident that Ill get an A, but then the teacher asked me some weird questions about political beliefs of Satsuma daimyō
>_< And in the end I got B+

Last but not least, Culture of Japan. I had this one today and as it was an closed choice test [a,b,c one], it was graded very fast. I got another C xD One point more and it would be B

But considering that I opened my Varley book [which is 350 pages long] on yesterday evening, it's quite an achievement xD
To sum up, after a whole month of cramming, its finally the holidays

Even if I failed either Japanese or Linguistics, it only means that my holidays will be a little shorter

[in Poland, holidays of college students last from July to the 1st October - repeat exams are usually in September].
Right now Im too tired to be angry at myself for not scoring higher

Its a funny experience, cause until now I was usually the one scoring the best, whatever the school subject was

Now Im among the average xD
For those who actually read that far, Im impressed

Have a big glomp

I personally dont feel like reading this entry to double-check for mistakes so if you spot any, feel free to tell me.
Anyways, you can expect new vectors from me soon ^.^ I finally have the time to finish several long-neglected works in progress and maybe start some new projects.
